Acupuncture

Acupuncture is part of a time-tested practice that goes back over 8,000 years and typically involves inserting hair-like needles into a variety of pressure points. The human body has over 2,000 points connected by pathways or meridians.

These pathways create an energy flow (Qi) through the body that is responsible for your overall health.  If these forces become blocked, or unbalanced, it will be reflected in your body and overall wellbeing.

Each individualized and tailored sessions with our practitioners will aim to diagnose and treat disruptions of this flow. Our objective at Choice Acupuncture is to help bring your body back into balance and restore the natural healing process holistically.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative therapy. It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The suction may facilitate healing with blood flow. Cupping has been used to treat a wide variety of conditions. It may be particularly effective at easing conditions that create muscle aches and pains.

Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.

There aren’t many side effects associated with cupping. After treatment, the skin around the rim of the cup may become irritated and marked in a circular pattern. Any mild bruising or other marks usually go away within 10 days of the session.
